Imogen Di Sapia explores folklore and story through craft, and this body of work is an exploration of motherhood and perinatal mental health through weaving.
A publication to accompany the exhibition features collaborative photography from artists including Bronwyn Preece, Michaela Meadow and Grace Gelder, who have each taken a handwoven Selkie seal-skin from Imogen and worked with it in the landscape to explore the story, sharing their findings through a photographic narrative.
Collaborative artworks with artists Lily Waugh, Joanna Hruby and Gladys Paulus will also be included in the exhibition.
Artists in Residence; Imogen will be weaving in the gallery during opening hours, accompanied by Lily Waugh, who will be working on a specially constructed heritage oak loom.
