The Shape of Things awards craft bursaries

Eight Artists who work with crafts media have been awarded bursaries by The Shape of Things (TSOT) to produce new work. Their diverse and distinctive interpretations will express the relevance of crafts to national identity and contribution of a valuable voice within the Contemporary Crafts scene. The artists are working in partnership with curators at venues across the UK to produce new work for an exhibition or installation which will showcase from 2010-2011.

Alinah Azadeh and Rosa Nguyen are at Bristol's City Museum and Art Gallery - January to April 2010

Seiko Kinoshita and Halima Cassell are at Bilston Craft Gallery • Wolverhampton - May to July 2010

Tanvi Kant and Taslim Martin are at Touchstones Rochdale - June to September 2010

Chien-Wei Chang and Maggie Scott are at the City Gallery, Leicester - 2011

The Flow Gallery, London will hold a group selling show of work by artists awarded the shape of things bursaries in October - November 2010
