DESCRIPTION:Discover how a more considered approach to fashion purchases\, and towards a more Make do and Mend approach can help combat Fast Fashion.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nJoin Gwynneth Carville SFX Lecturer – Props\, Assets\, Models\, Characters\, Costumes from Bolton University and find out about the negative impact textile waste has on the worldwide environment. \nDiscover how a more considered approach to fashion purchases\, and towards a more Make do and Mend approach can help combat Fast Fashion. \nThere will be plenty of practical tips and tricks including a mini stitch darning demonstration. Also with still photos and examples of other types of Visible and Invisible mends. \nThe talk will be held online via Zoom on 18th August\, at 5:30pm. Ticket entry is by Give What You Can donations welcome\, in partnership with Friends Of Macclesfield Museums. \nEvery donation\, of any size\, makes an important difference in helping the work with the local community and preserving the collections.
