This was the Textile Society's third research symposium and is part of our ongoing commitment to capture the essence of current research activity in the UK. Our first two symposia featured a diverse range of presentations from researchers across the globe who represented many aspects of textiles. They have been a huge success: those who attended, whether as members of the audience or as presenters, were very animated by the experience.
‘Research Strategies III’ provided an opportunity for researchers across the globe to present their findings to a knowledgeable audience, to network and gather information. They are always interesting get togethers, which generate a fabulous, dynamic atmosphere and much appreciated by speakers and audience alike. The great range of topics currently being researched is extensive and demonstrates clearly that there is still a massive amount to discover and write about in the textile sector.
I had a lot of interest on the day and some good follow ups via email.
Thank you for a lovely day on Saturday. I had a great time and met some really fascinating people. The papers were so diverse and interesting.
It was a good day, and I was very pleased to have the chance to discuss some of our ideas for the exhibition with such a knowledgeable audience.
