Jamie Robinson was awarded £1000 towards her attendance and presentation at the 15th North American Textile Conservation Conference in Banff Canada.

The sum was a contribution towards travel and accommodation as outlined in her proposal. Jamie has been practicing as a textile conservator at Zenzie Tinker Conservation (ZTC) since 2016. Her conference paper focussed on the case for replica and/or replacement fastenings within garment conservation practice, titled; ‘Buckle Up and Enjoy the Show; A Restorative Approach to the Conservation of Historic Costume with Missing Fastenings’. In her application she expressed her interest in the debate around the ethics of replication within a wider international audience.

Anita Sarkezi

£1000

Glasgow School of Art Weave workshop - Dislocation Tapestry

Anita Sarkezi was awarded £1000 to support the costs of a one-week residency at the LOTTOZERO Textiles Centre in Prato Italy to further her research and practical skills in digital weaving on specialist equipment, the TC2 digital jacquard loom.

It would also provide Anita an opportunity to study LOTTOZERO’s innovative model of textile production, and potentially stimulate a dialogue with the UK textile community about the potential for future collaborations. Anita plans to include the outcome of the residency in her upcoming solo exhibition at the Briggait Wasps Galleries, Glasgow, in May 2026.
