‘Suspended States’ addresses the suspension of boundaries, whether psychological, physical, or geographical
British Nigerian artist Yinka Shonibare’s new works examine systems of power in Western iconography and the legacies of European imperialism. Suspended States will include installations, sculptures, pictorial quilts and woodcuts. His quilts focus on the ecological impact of colonialisation.
